- The Dera helped build the Sri Guru Ravidas Janam Asthan Mandir, at Seer Govardhanpur in Varanasi, Guru Ravidas’s traditional birthplace. It was completed in 1965.
- The second Gaddi Nashin, Sant Sarwan Dass, led the institution from 1928 to 1972, and emphasised education and healthcare.
- The Dera runs the Sarwan Dass Charitable Hospital in Jalandhar district, and the Sarwan Dass Model School in Phagwara.
- It also runs the Sarwan Dass Charitable Eye Hospital in Ballan, opened in 2007.
- News of the 2009 Vienna attack led to widespread unrest in Punjab, including a curfew and army deployment to restore order.

Understanding Ravidassia DharmGreat to Know
- Don’t treat “Ravidassia” as simply another name for Sikhism. Since January 2010, the Dera has presented Ravidassia Dharm as its own distinct religion, with its own separate scripture.
- The Ad Dharm movement of the 1920s and the modern Ravidassia Dharm of 2010 are related but distinct developments, separated by nearly a century. Ad Dharm was an earlier social reform movement; Ravidassia Dharm is the Dera’s formal religious identity today.
- The institution’s social service work, hospitals and schools, sits alongside its religious role. Both are part of why it holds real social influence in Punjab, not religious standing alone.
