- Fixing Saline Soil Saline soils are treated by leaching. Good-quality water flushes the salts out, given proper drainage.
- Fixing Sodic Soil Sodic soils need a chemical fix first. Gypsum is added to displace sodium with calcium, before leaching can even work.
