Why it matters
[Data] India is the world's largest pulses producer, yet it still imports pulses. The Mission aims to end that dependence by 2030-31. It uses certified seeds, 1,000 dal mills and cluster farming in 489 districts. Assured procurement protects farmers from price falls. Link this to GS-3 food security, MSP and import substitution.
