- 25 May 1981 Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, and Oman sign the founding agreement, in Riyadh.
2020s — Deepening India Ties
- Recent India and the GCC sign Terms of Reference for a Free Trade Agreement. GCC becomes India’s largest merchandise trading partner, with bilateral trade near USD 178.5 billion in 2024-25.
